Gramil

Binding channel cutting tool for acoustic guitars.

Inspired by Richard Schneider's classic design, the CLS gramil allows you to cut binding channels by hand. The tool bears against the rim of a guitar body to cut the inside edge of the binding/purfling ledge to a precise width, depth, and squareness. Can also be used to score the binding ledges prior to routing the channels with our original Binding Jig to reduce the risk of tearout. 

The CLS Gramil consists of a solid curly maple body, aluminum blade holder, and a custom high-carbon steel (O1) blade hardened to Rc62.
